wives & fishing

Well guys, right or wrong, we did a little shopping last night, 3 1/2 hours of it. Here's where we stand so far, after trying on every foul weather suit in the store, "we" finaly settled on Grunden's in Orange with brown boots, something about White boots and being after Labor Day didn't fly, and matching cap with cute little gloves with no fingers? Also picked up a couple nice folding "fishing chairs" with built in drink holders, a pair of boating shoes to wear to and from the boat, and a jacket too. One Port-a-potty later with "special" disinfecting solution and some "marine" toilet tissue, and we were out the door. We were also looking at ordering a custom pole from Sea Isle but "we" didn't like the color choices they had for wraps, they didn't go well with the outfit, so we need to shop around on that one, but she did like the gold reels, goes well with some of her jewerly. Then it was off to the supermarket where we picked up some very nice heavy duty paper plates with cute little flower border, matching regular napkins, cocktail napkins, plastic spoons, forks, knives, plastic cups, straws, wet naps, paper towels, and about 6 assorted Tupperware containers.

Just a couple of things left to get we couldn't find, maybe you guys could help me here, where can I find...

2. Does Grundens make matching accessories?

Also, anything else you guys could think of that I might be missing would be appreciated too.

Ok now i have to say that post had me smiling Matt. I guess after a questionable post yesterday i will have to go back and delete it. I may have a Bad day, (Again) !!! Carry on, you seem to be having fun and that after all is what it's all about. :giggle:(y)

My wife likes boating, no interest in fishing. She never ever discouraged me from going fishing, Even when I fished 7 days a week. I never had to hide my fishing expenses.
But now that I have enough tackle to open a store and don’t fish enough she wants me to sell 95% of it, which I plan to do, as soon as I get help with putting a value to everything ?

First the Jeep now the Tackle sorry Bud

With all the new alloys and composites out there, it's not going to be easy to sell old tech stuff. Some reels like Newells still fetch a good price. Rods older than five years old wont. I know people selling three and four year old set ups to get the newest gear.

The greenies might to a collector. The rest won't. I have five or six greenies, but I fish with a Penn Battle. The newer reels have better ball bearings and are lighter.

You would be surprised at what older pens go for

Where? I don't know anyone that uses them. They're too heavy. No one wants to hold a squidder at 18 oz when they can be holding an Accurate 300 at 9 oz.

Guess ya gotta have some and see what they go for I know I see people looking for penns all over the place especially the Greenies and the Golds

Won this one in 2008 and never used it
