You Ain't Nothing But a Hound Dog - the Dog Thread

A new short queen has been crowned.

Pearl, a 2-year-old female chihuahua who lives in Orlando, Florida, is officially the world’s shortest living dog, according to Guinness World Records. She measures just 3.59 inches tall, making her shorter than a popsicle stick but taller than a teacup. She’s approximately 5 inches long, about the size of a dollar bill.

My friends had a Brittany Spaniel, very similar looking. Pretty cool dog for taking hikes with, but he was very vocal with a piercing bark indoors - drove me nuts.

All spaniels have pretty much the same look. Probably comes from originating from a common breed at one time. I remember whben Max was still alive (he was a springer) I was told by the adoption agency that basically they kept cross breeding large cocker spaniels to develop that breed of spaniel.

Temperments vary from breed to breed however.

I’m always so excited when I see you posted here since I think and hope you got a puppy..
OK Jack - you maybe getting your wish. Just submitted adoption papers for this guy....

Meet Parker!

Hello! It’s me, Parker, the most fun-loving, affectionate 5-year-old Boykin you could ever ask for! I love to follow my foster parents around wherever they go, and I just LOVE to play with a ball or a bumper or any other toy I can put in my mouth! I am a great size at around 35 pounds.

I tend to be a people person and love to be near my chosen one, usually any female who happens to be in the room. I will follow you everywhere! I sleep in a kennel, but I can also be left out and not bother a thing! I love being outside with my people and other dogs. I like to play fetch a LOT! I know all my basic commands and will generally come when called. I like to eat, and I love ice treats. I’m generally a friendly, fun-loving kinda guy who just wants someone to love and care for me!

I get along great with other dogs too! I tend to want to chase cats, but I am working on learning to leave them alone. I’m great at retrieving but loud noises just make me nervous. I have a tendency towards resource guarding--mainly with my toys, which I don’t want other dogs to have! I’m learning to share, but it’s tough!

I would love to find my forever home with someone who wants a loving companion that they can give lots of love and attention to. I’m ok with dogs but know if there are cats or even young children I may get fussy if they take my toys! I’m perfectly fine with older kids who know when I am communicating that I want to be left me alone, and I love their attention just as much as the adults. I am truly a sweetheart and will make someone a wonderful companion and forever friend!

Parker is being fostered in North Carolina.

Doesn't mean I'll get him. Have top compete against others who may also want him. There's also a rather indepth interview process. But one can hope.
8-)

How nice, we will be waiting to hear and hoping you and Parker become Family.

That is a great looking dog, he will be so happy with you and your home.

Good luck W.
