Problem I have is that my most recent visitors (brother & brother-in-law) have two dogs which they bring with them when they visit. I'm not entirely sure that if I get a pooch that it will get along with their poochies. Samething when I visit them.

It would come down to one of/both of us would have to kennel each respective dog(s).

I'd really like to - but..............................

I'm still looking at Boykins though. Which actually is not a good thing as it only makes me want one even more.

Good dog, I have a small Cocker that visits every day to get a treat, she actually knocks at the door and we let her in, she gets her two meat bone soft treats and back on her way. Neighbors dog, she loves us, she stays with us when he travels with family.

We were with our Boys when each one was put down, it is hard but it is something we did out of respect for the love they gave us.

I recently told my wife we were good for them and they were good for us.
We are very close to sharing and caring again and think it will happen soon.

Rough day here today.

My good friend and neighbor is on a cruise with his family.
His dog who is a regular here on any given day was a house guest for the duration of the trip.

Sadly the 11 !/2 yr old dog passed this morning, peacefully in her sleep, she had some health issues but was doing really well, eating and drinking, no problems. We were shocked And devastated.

So sad, I wrapped her in a beautiful blanket called her vet and followed thier instructions for bringing her in.

Here she is just last night hours before she went to bed.

Rest well Little Lady.

That is very nice of you to say that, its exactly what her owners have said to my Wife and I.
They said she was so happy and peaceful being with us that she felt is fine to pass with us , in our home.

So Fuckin sad.

Its nice to see at least a few here felt enough to respond to this.
I think I will stop paying attention to others I always follow and react to being they could give two shits about what I post.
