Make the hook hole big enough. Enlarging the hole was always step one, one of my pet peeves with the old Uncle Josh rinds...

How do you dye the pork skin??

If that's one of the one from Sam's Club, don't get too upset. I don't have their seat/locker, but have bought 4 of their storage chests 5 years ago and they've lasted quite well outside all year. Only had one fall apart, but that was because a large branch fell down on it, poking a few holes. No matter, a bunch of duct tape over the holes and it's still in action.

My BIL has the seat/locker and it's been holding up for years too.

How do you dye the pork skin??

I haven't put color to any yet, one of my friends uses food coloring, the same stuff that's used to color Easter eggs. Mix a batch of color, according to directions, in a jar & put the skin in for a couple of days. He says if it looks like it's going to be too light of a color add more dye. I haven't tried it yet, I'll be happy, for my first attempt, if I can get them to come out white.

Checked out the new Wegman's that opened by me, I think it's definitely overhyped.
Definitely pricey.
