Knots to bucktails

main line to leader loop to loop connection and tie to your jig.
I always board with three packs of wind on leader.

I'm trolling or sinker rig. It's a heavier outfit. This is a great channel. :)

I got back to just using a barrel swivel on my 20# braid to leader connection. Surfcasting I put a "paper clip" on the end of the 30# leader to allow switching lures, with a dropper loop 12 to 14 inches above so I can either use a teaser or not. Kayaking for fluke and weaks in 2019 I went back to a snap swivel on the braid, clipped to a 3 foot leader with a barrel swivel, and with the same dropper loop for a teaser, but a loop knot or simple improved clinch to the bucktail/Gulp. Haven't bought bait in a decade or more except for the once or twice a year clam bellying. ( I try to avoid having to tie knots on the kayak or on a cold windy beach as much as possible.)

Chopper blues love those shiny clips and snaps. ?

FG knot for braid to leader, and a Lefty Kreh loop knot foreader to jig.
The Lefty Kreh knot keeps the knot from snagging weed as the tag end points towards the jig.
