Dang, missed it. Was that the real first show from the 70s or the first Alex Trebec show?

When Art "Flaming" with the host, along with announcer Don Pardo in the 70s the show was broadcast during the noon hour. In college, it was mandatory viewing after lunch...
 
It was the first show with Alex from, I think 1984. They are going to continue with show #2 tonight, since they haven't been taping any new Covid shows.

Episode #3 from 1984 on tonite Alex has black hair & mustache. Last nite was strange, all three constants taped out to zero on the final question, so three new ones tonite.

Yes, the Meds....you can see them also in his eyes.

But he looks good compared to someone who ten to 20 years ago would have been like someone I know and other I know of.

Pancreatic cancer treatment has grown in leaps and bounds over the past 5 years. 10 years ago it was a definite death sentence, but now we're talking remission being a good possibility!!

I didn't check through the previous posts. Years ago when my childhood friends
got on the force. They would bring me to conventions and I actually got to meet
this Gentlemen.

 
Tonight, 1/4 starts the airing of the last five shows that Trebeck taped prior ,to is passing, with the last show on Friday 1/8.

I'm a big longtime Jeopardy fan.
I would also watch this show. It's a comical spinoff of Jeopardy.
If you would answer with "What is" or something similar to Jeopardy
they would put the dunce cap on you.

 
Tonight and then tomorrow will be wild to think he was dead ten days later.
He must have been in alot of pain.

I dont think he will like to hear this but I dont think I will be watching with Ken Jennings at the Helm.
 
Been watching all week, Jeopardy producer had a couple lines in the paper today & said not to expect anything, special in the last show, as Alex didn't think that it was the last show for him.

LB; not to sure about that. I read he says have a great life at some point and was very aware that he ( Trebek) knew he was going home to be in the exact spot he wanted to be at in the end. His backyard, watching sunset in his favorite chair with his favorite person sipping his favorite drink.

I believe he was afforded three types of meds..... to be active while controlling pain, remain sharp and check out on demand when it became too much.
Good for him.
I wish that was afforded to all who need and want that.
