the "What are you doing NOW" thread (part deux)

ok - he's out....................

Couldn't get him to come out of the chimney. So I left the door to the stove open hoping he'd drop down out of the chimney & fly out. Which he eventually did. Then spent 5 minutes or so chasing him around the house with my trout net trying to catch him. That went as one would expect.

After he pretty much crashed into everything I finally just opened the back sliding door to the back porch hoping he might take the hint & exit that way.
:unsure::whistle::cautious::oops::unsure::unsure::unsure::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle:

Success.

Now picking up feathers.............................
;)

Shoulda just lit the stove and have a baked "cornish" hen for dinner. :D

crossed my mind - but didn't want to take a chance on a possible chimney fire - he was almost the size of Cornish Game Hen - he was a huge blackbird/crow sorta bird - don't know how he could have possibly gotten through the grating on the chimney

This is the first time I've have one in there during the winter. Usually spring is when it happens - starlings or some such bird looking for a good place to nest.

Those small blackbirds are tough and gamey. Nothung like a cornish hen. :D

Jist kicked another azzhole out of the store for not wearing his mask. Had it around his neck. "I can't breath with the mask on, there is no such thing as Corona..."

Makes it hard to keep a smile on my face.
and Benny can attest to the fact that it ain't easy to get me to stop smiling.

Which bank does everyone use for their business acxounts?

I think Im gonna go and close up my Chase commercial accounts.

I opened up an commercial savings account and tied it to my commercial checking account so that if I was low on balance in the checking account, Chase would automatically move the funds drom my savings to cover the balance, saving me overdraft fees. At least thata what they said when I opened them.

Last month was tough due to the worst Thanksgiving day sales and worst Christmas sales ever. I knew the Credit Card amount wasn't that much but hey I was covered by the savings account.

My wife checks the account last week and notices a $574 service charge and freaks out.

They been charging me $34 for low balance in the checking, and lists it @ the end of the month as one tume fee. WTF? $34 everytime they move money from my savings account to the checking account, and then the fee @ the end of the month instead of when the transaction happened?

And why wasn't my accounts tied together? They don't know why.

They are apologizing and working to refund mebthe fee but damage done. Tired of Chase nickle and diming me, time to move on.

Find a credit union nearby or a small regional bank. All the big banks are garbage.

zee wood has arriv-ed

They brought along their wood splitter & chainsaws. Some of what they delivered last spring is just too darn big (length & width-wise) to fit in the stove. So they're re-splitting & shortening that. It was a pretty sizeable amount.
