the "What are you doing NOW" thread (part deux)

I thought you get pre split ready to burn dropped off?
Im guessing what ur doing is breaking down some of the bigger ones to suit ur preference?

You my friend are correct.............

Comes in presplit & dropped right in front of the wood shed. There's always some that could use a little more splitting (maybe 20 - 25% of it). I create kindling out of another bunch of it.

Chopping it to how I like it.
8-)

Little bit larger load this time as some of what I got previously was not fully seasoned. So he added like another quarter cord at no extra cost - $150 for all of it (chord & a quarter).

Worth the effort for sure?

I bet
I find its best to pop a few advil ASAP before it really tightens up and youre screwed for a few days
I wear a back brace when doing this type of activity. Pretty good one BTW (Copper Fit which I'll recommend to anyone with back problems). Advil's never really worked for me. I take two Aleve. If still bothering after dinner - I have a prescription for Naproxen (which is actually prescription Aleve I've learned but a slightly higher dosage (500 MG).

Still bothering me I go for 1/2 a tramadol w/two fingers of Scotch while watching the tube.
All of that generally works......

I actually need back surgery but haven't gotten up the nerve to pu the trigger on it.
1 spilled disc pressing up against some arthritis which s pinching a nerve & making my ft leg numb from the knee down.
2 bulging discs
Spaces between two of my discs & spaces between al of them when I bend over.

Other then that - the back's great.

You need an inversion table

well this part came out all wrong:

2 bulging discs

That should have come out as:
1 slipped disc pressing up against some arthritis which is pinching a nerve & making my eft leg numb from the knee down
2 bulging discs
Spaces between two of my discs & spaces between all of them when I bend over

Doctor asked me if I was in construction.
Told him no - desk jockey

He said this is the type of damage he generally sees with someone involved in heavy construction.

get a bicycle for starters, feel better Mr.W... C22...

Larry, most of my back problem went away when I lost some weight and started exercising and stretching on a regular basis.
After an ski accident in my teens, my back used to go out very easily and get sciatica in a regular basis.

Hey guys, help your local business owners by making sure the clerks and cashiers ring up your purchases on the registers. ?

I see too many shenanigans around here @ the local small businesses where the clerk gives the customer a "discount" then not ring up the registers.

Jenny just got off the phone with a solar panel installer from Costco.
Around 15 panels for a little over $23,000. Add NJ incentive and she says a little over $16,000. 10 year finance @ 2.9. We can now sell back unused power for 15 years and not 10 like it used to be.

Told her to do it and I would put $5000 down to cut monthly cost.

Was trying to save that cash for a Yamaha F350 and a new 150g gas tank for the boat. :(
