Gas prices 2019 and beyond

a ban was lifting on exporting oil in which encouraged a surplus...otherwise why produce it if you can't sell it

A variety of factors contributed to the shift: surging production from shale oilfields, the end of a crude oil export ban in 2015 and fuel economy improvements for cars that limited petrol demand even as highway travel rebounded from a recession.

All I know is when I need gas for the car, or diesel for the pick up, I pull into the station & pay what the price is, I don't have very much control over that. Their are enough things that I do have control over that puts acid in my stomach, so things I have no control over, I don't think much about.

Mastic Indian reservation .$0.50 cents a gallon cheaper than most gas stations you have control over that

Glad I picked up a commuter car couple weeks ago. I bought a 2019 F150 ( sorry Chevy! lol) last February. Hit 20K miles on it back in December. Lucky my friend was selling one of his cars so I bought his 2017 Honda Civic Touring Edition (fully loaded). It was garage kept with 5500 miles!! Couldn't pass that up, so I get a bit of a break in gas prices.

If I'm over in that direction it sure is an option, otherwise it's a 50 mile round trip, if the car is empty takes about 16gal, gets less than 25 MPG not worth the trip. If over in that direction I'll stop in & fill up.
