Perlon single leader. I think it comes in 4 foot strands and a variety of weight classes.

That stuff reminds me of the mono rigs I found in SWMBO's deceased father's tackle. Wasn't good to me for much of anything except making snelled hooks or those old spin and glow fluke rigs !

It allows you to not use any terminal tackle and not get tangled.
When tied and or rigged properly. Some people scheme in rigging
have no issues with a standard Ande mono fishing line. I also prefer
the Perlon straight leader. If I have braid on. I'll tie a top shot of mono
and then start tieing, rigging to that, weights vary.

Works fine. Never seen you catch anything with fluoro either. Your wife on the other hand is like a dragged. She catches everything.

Seaguar is superior. Super thin in diameter. Exceeds it's ratings.
The clearest invisible line there is.

His technique on the rail is flawless. when it came time to bump into full and
get into the belt and harness. You're in full, palm on spool, adding to drag and lifting.
Waiting for give way and cranking down, gaining line. He didn't have what it takes.
The rail isn't IGFA legal. The belt and harness is. Diving fish, quick release straps.
In and out. He doesn't have it. He's going to show you what to do. I'm still waiting.
The one guy in the island that caters to this type of fishing and does the two week
runs to Socorro. They don't practice it. He doesn't practice it. He hugs the rail.
They caught a supercow. Under what rules? CONFUSED!

JB tackle probably has it. Tied up some hi lo tog rigs on their charter boat recently.

Perlon was the standard for a long time. Its readily available and cheap. You also dont know how old it is when you buy it. Age and sunlight are not kind to mono. Im a stickler for that sort of thing especially with Flouro leader.

I feel that Tynex is the better choice. It has less memory and doesn't twist up after a few fish. Also seems more abrasion resistant.

If you plan of tying a big batch of hooks, I suggest you tie with both products and see for yourself.

Shelf life, the product is stored properly at ambient temperature.
Not near the radiator, outside or in a cold dingy basement, room.
There's a huge difference between a reputable company and some
fly by night cheap stuff.

I'll give it a shot and see. I tried looking up Tynex, can't find much on it.
