It is very interesting, how would this protect the Osprey?
I hope it is, since that’s a good thing.
And if its not for that, would be for some kind of tree clearing marker for guides as to what not to cut?
Or , as Ed and I would say..... ALIENS.

A few years ago my ex-in-laws had a summer house out on the North Fork near the Peconics; a beautiful wooded property abutting water, and a massive Koi pond. Over the pond were the same wire, in crisscross sections, only about 10-15 feet above. Kept out the Birds of Prey rather well, along with the trees. There were probably a good 30+ Koi's in there.Could have used more specific wording: Protect any fish IN THE POND from Ospreys diving in for dinner. The ropes are a good 15' above the pond.
Many years ago in Epcot at WDW we watched Ospreys taking turns diving into the Koi Pond at the Japan Display!! They were as happy as I was when I got to the Sushi Bar inside...
Folks less attuned to nature across the nation are horrified when their expense ornamental fish like koi start disappearing. One person in IL accused people of stealing them until a webcam showed the perpetrator, a Great Blue Heron...
Cousin up in Danbury that had a nice Koi Pond. Only problem is the koi kept disappearing - couldn't figure out what was taking them.A few years ago my ex-in-laws had a summer house out on the North Fork near the Peconics; a beautiful wooded property abutting water, and a massive Koi pond. Nature at its most natural.Nature is a wonderful thing.
while waiting for someone to make their putt on the green at West Sayville I notice above us was a huge Hawk flying by after just securing lunch, he had a small rodent or fish in his grasp heading off to snack on.
I saw a snake today, a 4-5' black racer. Unlike some others here, I didn't run away, screaming like a girl. I calmly asked it to bring more friends around. The chipmunk, red squirrel and field mouse population has exploded and the local Guard Fox family isn't keeping up with them...
