Authorities are searching for a 50-year-old man who fell off a boat while fishing with his son in Northport Harbor.
Suffolk police say Christopher Calma was fishing with his 14-year-old son on Northport Bay when he fell into the water around 9:30 a.m.
Harbor Master Fred Uvena told News 12 that the man was not wearing a life preserver and could not swim. Calma’s son was not injured.
The U.S. Coast Guard, Suffolk Marine Bureau, the Northport Police Department and other authorities have been searching the waters since the morning.
Anyone with possible information on the man's whereabouts is urged to call Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound at (203) 468-4421.
