i know it was true..just saying!!

I believe the people brought up on wine for centuries have a built in protection against alcoholism....of course there are exceptions.

The colder areas like Ireland did not produce grapes...and you could not drink whiskey the way wine was drunk. Some friends of my father were pioneers...pledged at young ages never to indulge in alcohol...this was encouraged by the Church which saw the devastation caused by booze...clergy included.... in the Gaelic people.

ALCOHOLISM Is it something genetic like sickle cell in African Americans.....for sure!!
