They are actually adult aged. They get transported 2-3 times a week on small transport buses (buses that are owned by a certain nationally acclaimed science "lab" on the north shore). They go into stop n shop, don't speak much if any English, pretty much right of the "boat". They carry mobile phones, and go up to the workers in the store, point to items on their mobile phone, trying to figure our where the item is in the store. About an hour later the buses pull up and pick them up.

This has been going on for over a month. A few curious locals followed the buses back, not to the "lab" but to a location in Syosset.
