Change is fine it done at 30k intervals

This really worked out. For the past few months I've noticed a problem with my in dash navagation display. It was looking like some sort of fluid got in there & the lower right hand corner was turning white. Both issues were making it difficult to read.

Showed it to the Customer Service Rep when I was up there yesterday & they replaced the whole radio & navigation sytem no charge.

Covered under the VW warranty which they also extended to 10 years or 100,000 miles

SWMBO just back from disneyworld and we need to consider an extended with subaru before June. AAA uses a 3rd party insurer and would charge an arm and a leg. A recent mailed offer from Subaru was a third of that and under 1K. Can i ask VW cost? We also have a “squirrel “ in the entertainment center.

I'd let you know but I don't remmeber what I paid.

I had taken out the extended warranty which was apparently for 4 years when I bought the car in 2018. I couldn't remember if I bought the extended or just went with ther standard warranty when I first started this thread. I was getting deluged with warranty offers telling me mine had expired & thought maybe it had so I called them after Cany said I should be able to get them to extend my original warranty. That's when I found out I had gone with a 4 year warranty.

When I called to see what it would cost to extend it they told me I was still good under the 4 year warranty & to show their faith in their product they would take the 4 year warranty out to 6 years for no cost.

About a week later I got a notice that since I was a loyal VW Custumer (this is my 3rd VW) they were going to extend the 6 year to 10 years at no charge to me.

Squirrel’s in the entertainment center is very common, extended warranty is worth it just for this. And electronic power steering is another common problem in newer vehicles. I had mine covered under recall but today my daughter didn’t, $1050 out of pocket.
In the old days I would never buy an extended warranty nowadays that we drive computers with four wheels you’re crazy if you don’t or you got really deep pockets
