Whats going on in the World

A 79 year old Ukrainian great grandmother has volunteered for military training. Photos show her firing a rifle.

Valentyna Konstantynovska, is now attending a military training camp and says: "I am ready to shoot if something happens. I will defend my home, my city, my children.

As long as they can doesent seem like they are giving up anytime soon

It's not a matter of not giving up.

The bulk of the Russian forces haven't arrived yet - there is no way they will be able to beat them back - there is 3+ miles long Russian convoy headed to Kyiv now - consisting of tanks, self- propeled artillery, rock launchers & armored personnel carriers (read halftracks) plus infantry - it is only matter of time before they are joined by aircraft (helicopter gunships & planes) -

Kyiv is surrounded.
Russia will level the city.
Kill or capture President Zelensky & the rest of his government.
Install their own proxy government.
Technically it is over at that point. Sure there will be an insurgency. Which Russia may or may not be able to surpress.
And just maybe they'll get tired of it & leave after 15 years or so like they did in Afghnistan.

But the damage will have been done.

The only way I see this ending short of that is if the Russian people themselves rise up.

One of these is reported to be in that convoy. You know what this would do to Kyiv?

So the exact location of that convoy has been broadcast all over the place. Two lane road from the pictures I have seen. Where are the Javelin rockets? Blow up one truck in the front, and one in the back. Remember the "Highway of Death" from Desert Storm? The Ukrainians still have some flight worthy attack aircraft. Surprised the Ruskies are putting themselves in a vulnerable position like that. A bunch of pissed off Ukrainians can do a lot of damage to that convoy. I hate to say it, but the only way this ends positively is that if Red Square is filled with the body bags of dead Russian soldiers and the mothers decide to take out Putin themselves.

Russia hasn't used most of its might. They're expecting a surrender. If not, they'll probably level the city with a warning to the rest of Ukraine.

If that doesn't happen, well, it could be the biggest underestimation of an opponent in history....(right behind the undefeated Pat's vs Giants)
