Time too ride

@cany sorry I didn't stop by last Friday...had one of those interruptions as I was planning to take off work early!! arghh

Anyho... had a brief window yesterday... rolled out to HD Nassau at 11:45am, got a new LED light/turn signal, and shoot the breeze with the parts guys and my sales rep for a bit. Took the Wantagh PKWY south from 27 down to Ocean PKWY East around the JB Theatre. Going slow (45-55) enjoying the breeze and just totally chilling after a week of work. (This is why I got this bike, to just clear everything the fuck out of my head and do something that brings me to another state of being. A oneness.)

Ripped the throttle open many times, one being up to 92mph for a minute or so on Ocean Pkwy.

Beautiful day around 75, temp dropped a whole lot down there like 15 degrees. Had a nice ride to Robert Moses North from Ocean, Southern State quick to the Sagtikos rounding the curve laying the pegs down a little :) .....back home by 2:30pm.......scooter back in the geerage...pick up my daughter by 3:15.

Small windows of opportunity to ride for me sometimes. This one was great. I'm grateful.
 
7am this morning Im taking a nice slow ride in the right lane just before 64 heading West on the LIE A dump truck passes me in the middle lane my lane got slow so I jumped into the middle lane from behind the dump truck I see a cloud of dust I figured he hit a bump all of a sudden the cloud turned into a dust storm across 3 lanes I was like WTF couldnt see shit Everyone is slowing down as we get to the cloud there is debris everywhere wood concrete sheet rock even saw a milk crate His back door opened up and he was dumping construction debris all over the three lanes all the way to Nichols rd where he got off it was like riding thru a war zone could barely see the road and dodging garbage when I got off at Nichols the off ramp was loaded too He was pulled over on the service rd thats when I saw the open door That was one hell of a way to start the day me and the bike made it thru safe and sound Guess Dad is watching over his bike

Wow!! Thats freekin' crazy!! I can't imagine driving through that even in a car or truck.

When I had the option for parkway, it was the way. I’ve seen mattresses, rugs, ladders, blowing swirling sand (that was daily). Once they spayed the asphalt primer but didn’t put down the asphalt, then opened the expressway. What a mess that became. Nothing but a headache the LIE is.
 
Nice ride today a bit short due to the fact I had to be home early for Harley @dsedy met me at work around 12.45 left work and headed too Phils in wading river hung there for a bit had a great burger and then a rode down sound ave to Edwards ave took a right on Mill rd (love this road) swung by my buddys boat but he wasnt there from there brought Don up to the L.I.E and we parted ways nice ride with him today

Hit the pause button on the HD app and forgot to turn it back on… put us in a straight line lol. Put it back on somewhere on edwards ave .
