Its Windy

The wind just caught a piece of aluminum trim over our vinyl siding out front. I had to rip the whole 8-10 feet of it off the peak for fear it would come loose and hit a car in the driveway. Same color wood trim underneath so it doesn't look quite like we live in Appalachia. Weird, we are interested in having that peak and the front of the kitchen down to the ground replaced with stone veneer. Now we have to !

You got the same damage as mojoe cept he was in a Major Hurricane

LOL. This piece had come loose in the last TS 2 or 3 years ago and I just put a couple of nails in it then. Know anything about stone veneer?
That I dont at All I know mojoe was warned a major hurricane was gonna hit him and he lost a piece if siding lol

One of my neighbors is a complete moron…….With these winds you gotta take a look around and batten down at least a few hatches.

So far his BBQ has rolled and is on its side, a tarp took flight this afternoon and is in a tree around the corner and something, probably a piece of lawn furniture is smashing up another neighbors adjoining fence.

His yard looks like a circus that exploded
Too funny.

Its a good thing its not garbage pickup day cause ya know people would of put those cans out

I haven't had to buy a garbage can in 40 years. Every other year or so, someone's can winds up in my driveway or front garden. Lazy bastards never painted their number on it. I leave it out on a small cement platform on the other side of my sidewalk for ONE WEEK. I then take it back in with my own emptied garbage can and paint my own number on the orphan, or stencil "garden", "pool". or whatever on it, and it joins the "fleet." I stopped using lids decades ago so have them for the "storage" cans. I even "gifted" my son a wayward can when he moved out.
When its real windy, I simply put my own garbage out in a plastic bag, liberally sprinkling some water in it to insure it will not blow away.

after I lost my flagpole to a squall 18 months ago I have finally decided not to replace it. Just too many really windy days this close to the bay, would rather spend 3 bills on something else. Making sure I was home at noon on Memorial Day, having to take it down before thunderstorms, and having weird neighbors I didn't know walk up and thank me for voting Republican got old (like me.)
