Granted, I don't fish at night and just fish at my town's sandy open ocean beach, but this is the worst I have ever done casting lures into the Atlantic.
After two trips I just went a few more times total, opting for optimum tides, reports of no weed, etc. but the worst season for me. Ever. Thank God I got a Bambi and a
freezer with lots of weaks and fluke still in it. Merry Christmas to all !

Got that right. And having all the time in the world I went on sunny days, less than 12 knot winds, avoided traffic for the most part, etc. Life is good. Here's hoping the summer weaks return to my backbay area in 2023.

Think I am done in surf 2022. All rats and schoolies past couple days and sunsets gently released. I like what I saw feeling strongly positive about slots, circle hooks and of course the menhaden purse seining moratorium. 3 cheers

They taste like potato chips fried. Add a little salt and sprinkle some vinegar on them. Excellent!!

I would think an air fryer would work fine. We sometimes bread snapper and smaller fluke filets in ours.

I am FINALLY hearing reports of herring to our West. We @ Magnolia Pier are still waiting. Zero for me last night. I will be heading to Mags later this AM to continue harvesting the BIGGEST BADDEST spearing for spring 2023. If herring show same, for them.
