Auto/home insurance

Looking at my new upcoming rates from Liberty mutual with a 25% increase. This is with every conceivable discount there is, being retired and driving 6500 miles a year on two vehicles, with no tickets/accidents. With LIBERTY for 20 years and expected them to also jump on the inflation bandwagon but not tilt the wagon OVER.

I have the money but don't know how you younger crowd manage these days. I have always questioned stuff like this and that is the reason I have some money in my pocket today. Most people just shrug and pay it.

So who do some of you use for car/home insurance and are you happy??

CHEERS!!

Beware of CGI Emus...

State Farm, no issues, but let me tell you something you must already know about auto insurance in NY, every time I moved our auto insurance dropped by 1/2...

NY 2X more than IL, which was 2X more than ME, Mazel Tov!!

Paying ~ $1000/yr total for 2, 2016 vehicles...

If you or anyone served look into USAA. Premiums border on high at first. Then you start getting paybacks as a semi-shareholder called the Subscribers Savings Account. After 40 years with them you get the Senior Bonus. I have our homeowners, auto, jewelry rider and a year ago boat insurance with them. The amounts of those two "give backs" almost pay the total yearly premiums for the cars. However, like many companies, they see an 117__ zip code and immediately think Sandy, not just that the state is now crime-ridden. Sure you might not live for the 40 years, but children and grandchildren can get coverage even if they didn't serve. When our sons caused claims, our preferred body shop gave me discounts because he loved the military. Customer service is excellent. Sorry Gronk, you ain't special.

I switched all my auto insurance to State Farm last year after my previous company raised my rates $2000 a year.
Now I pay $2000 less than I was before I switched
I am also with Statefarm and wanted to switch to one of the other top companies but was actually told they could not come in lower than what I currently paying for 2- cars and one house. Full coverage on all three $3,200 all in.

UPDATE:

So liberty Mutual was jacking me up to 2600 a year for two vehicles effective February

State Farm gave me a quote for 635.00 for 6 months for same chit...1270.00 A YEAR...LESS THAN HALF PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Homeowners came down 30.00 bucks

WELCOME TO STATE FARM MOVETHEBOAT!! Can I get a SCHWING?
