I know it's highly unlikely that any of you guys are going to get to eat there - but this seemed like a good place to put this.
I'm sure a lot of you may have heard about Maurice's down here on the Shore through some of my postings..
Terriffic place that serves really great meals. They had a detached building out back that they would use for small parties & receptions (Governor Northam held a get together there with heads of Amazon to attempt to sell them on the idea of locating a Distribution Center somewhere on the Eastern Shore a year or so ago).
They've recently turned it into another stand alone restuarant called Kuchi Sabishii! Lounge, Meaning "lonely mouth" in Japanese as I understand it.
They just had their soft opening last weekend. Haven't gotten in there yet - but soon...............

What kind of menu will be served at Kuchi?
We will be seeving our full sushi menu as well as DimSum (Steamed Asian Dumplings with awesome fillings), Lumpia (Thin Filipino Eggrolls) Fried Gyoza (Filled Dumplings), Assorted Skewers, Charcuterie, Miso Soup and Healthy Vegetable and Tofu Salad. Kuchi will be open tonight starting at 5 and will close around 11 to give everyone a chance to check out our awesome vibe!

This is the bar in Kuchi which I'm being told will have a seat resevered for me.
What does KuchiSabishii mean?
It’s a new word in Japanese that came about because the Japanese population was suddenly getting chubby. It was found that during pandemic ”stay at home” rules, folks were binge and comfort eating and suffering from “lonely mouth” or KuchiSabishii! Come find the cure for your lonely mouth at the new lounge at Maurice which is having continued soft openings Friday and Saturday night 5-11ish.
Our room is walk in only with the exception of this little VIP section (pictured) which requires a reservation and minimum.
