My wife and son declared I should be the mayor of that town and laughed about it non stop the whole trip and ever since.

Yeah but Stuck is Stuck and sooner or later the tide will come in if you is....Always finish up before the tide change...
Humbled by all the concern here, so just letting everyone know I made it out of the mud, and it was a very successful outing. 28 clams, 3 dozen oysters, and a intact tote. Not sure what I'm more excited about, but it's always great to be living on a working waterfront for periodic "boons" of things like totes, lobster crates, etc.Yeah but Stuck is Stuck and sooner or later the tide will come in if you is....
Be careful!!
what'd he think they were going to breakdown? The original owner of my house did that with clay pots and used it as a mulch? I’m still picking it out of the ground ?
I forgot to mention, also had a full set of China buried along the foundation. I thought maybe we struck it rich. I looked up the china and it was cheap crap from the 50’s.what'd he think they were going to breakdown?

Probably from a Kosher family that lived there. It the plates were used for a non-Kosher meal, they have to be washed and buried for a period of time before they can be used again...I forgot to mention, also had a full set of China buried along the foundation.
