just got off the phone with the Mayor..............

the Brit's got an interview at the American Embassy in Belfast on Tuesday to try & get his Visa application approved so he can return - asked the Mayor to write a letter of recommendation to help speed the process

Does the "Belfast" mean he's really "Half Irish" instead of a true Brit?? Folks from The Republic refer to their Northern Neighbors as being Half Irish... If so, he's probably just "thrilled" (sarcasm) of Brexit. A soft border between the Republic and Northern Ireland is a "must have" on the Emerald Isle, and a major sticking point in negotiations.

No tinge of a brogue - pure working class north British accent.

Don't actually know why he went to Belfast. Maybe easier to get there?

Guess he just wanted some pure, unpasteurized Guinness. He's kind of equidistant between the Consulates in Belfast, Edinburgh and Cardiff, but actually closer by a nose, to the London embassy.

he's applying for some sort of special 5 year Visa that allows him to travel here without having to reapply each time as I understand it - suggested he look into Dual Citizenship since he's here as much as he is in the UK - some years more than the UK

Just finished working in the yard ?
Transplanted about 200 bulbs ( crocus and daffodils) and about 30 clumps of day lilies fertilized And seeded the lawn. Now a shower and then start dinner ?

Going to dewinterize my work truck and get it ready for tomorrow, test for leaks and get all my paperwork in order and move a few more wheelbarrow loads of stone before the rain comes
