Actually Walleye is the ONLY fresh water fish that's worth eating. Bet they would make excellent tacos.

Because they go out where there's less competition and more sharks. If there was a shark tournament out of Freeport, the smaller, slow boats would go out 20-25 miles and all be in the same general area, while the big fast boats could race out further east or further offshore and not have to compete with other boats . That's what I saw , usually a very fast boat won the tournaments.

Not necessarily more sharks further out I have caught plenty of sharks with in sight of land and Placed and Won shark tourneys and. I have seen small boats Win tourneys too. Just because you have a big fast boat doesent guarantee you will catch a shark does it?

Shame on tournament officials for not checking the fish in a "kill" tournament especially for guys who have been accused in the past but something tells me the judges in some of these smaller, local tournaments might be in cahoots with the perps.....
