Finally got a superb result with this stuff, which covers all weeds and a crabgrass pre-emergent, along with fertilizer. I only give my lawn 1 shot, but most years I put this down after a majority of the dandelions have flowered. This year I got it down when they had emerged, but few, if any flowered.

Knocked the crap out of them and haven't seen any "cotton balls" and any flowers are seriously damaged, major win for the home team. I'm from the 1 application per year school of fertilizing, so it's nice when 1 shot covers the whole gamut...

I used the above but for new seeds(blue label). Noticed some weeds turning white few days after I applied it. Going to lay down some prodiamine in week or two

Seems that the explosive growth of the weeds, the mechanism by which the weed killer works, has made for prime woodchuck dining. This guy spent 30 minute eating as many dying dandelions he could find...

The dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) is an abundant “weed” plant that also happens to be edible. In fact, nearly the entire plant can be consumed in one way or another. The only inedible part is the stem, which contains a very bitter, milky substance.May 29, 2015



Still,.. yuck.
