The high wind warning is for the five boroughs and all of long Island. The entire south shore has a coastal flood warning for tonight's high tide and possibly both high tides tomorrow. The warning I mentioned earlier was only for one high tide in Brooklyn and Staten Island. Major coastal flooding is possible at high tide in Suffolk County with a 5 ft storm surge possible

61 and very heavy rain here in queens the flash flooding is occurring in the Bronx and Manhattan now. Rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Coastal flooding is occurring and major coastal flooding is expected today with a five ft surge for southern queens southern Nassau and Suffolk County. The warning is until 6pm

Drizzle when I left my place, hurricane on the highway -then Waze sends me to the Saw Mill River Pkwy which is flooded and closed. Detoured down NYS Thruway to Stew Leonard's and circled back. I hate Waze sometimes, Sprain Brook Pkwy was good according to my coworkers.
