Because I spend a significant amount of my time selling optical inspection and precise measuring instruments to the local manufacturing community, I take a special interests in vids such as this.

Though AVET reels are not my favorite brand, despite me owning 4 of them, there's no doubt a certain beauty in their manufacturing process.

I always enjoy the story behind the scenes, especially when it comes to tackle. This video was good, but I would have loved to learn more, especially since I do really like my Avet reels.

At the other end of the spectrum once the Avet video finished one of the related YouTube videos to come up was the history of Abu-Garcia. It is quite long at almost 50 minutes. But for tackle geeks and history buffs like us I found it to be well worth watching on this very cold Sunday morning.

 
Yes, the Abu vid is good. I posted it years ago, both here and earlier still, on the “old” site. Would have linked to it again, just didn’t want to become repetitive.
