The move was made through the state's Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, which sent a message to social services agencies in the state, the report notes, though the agency would not say how many migrants are currently receiving payments.

I think the most telling stat that I recently saw regarding why average people aren't "feeling" the "red hot economy" is the fact that grocery prices are like 23% higher than 3 or so years ago.

You can have every Economist PhD in the world showing graphs demonstrating to folks that things are better, but if their "bread and butter" still costs a lot more than they're used to in recent memory, these lectures are falling on deaf ears...
