The 37 are still in prison and will be for the rest of their lives. Biden’s decision was consistent with the administration's moratorium on federal executions, which was imposed in 2021. The move was also seen as a way to prevent the incoming administration from resuming federal executions.

Santo’s on the other hand served only 3 months in prison. The only reason for his release was for his political association. His kissing the kings ring.
