Just looking at that pitiful head says it all. Guinness publicans, and hacks like me, have been making designs in that foamy nectar long before it became popular with baristas.
Daddy, make a smiling face in your Guinness!!!

If you have never had a Guinness in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland, you've never had a real, unpasteurized one since those are the only places in the world you can have a real one. Can't be any worse than a real one.![]()
It really is much better in Ireland. I was over there in 2017.If you have never had a Guinness in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland, you've never had a real, unpasteurized one since those are the only places in the world you can have a real one.
If you're one of the extremely few people, make that zero in my data set, who has been to pubs in either of those 2 places and had a real Guinness for the first time and didn't exclaim, "My God, it's like a milkshake!!", then you entitled to that assessment.
For the record, every few years I weaken and try a Guinness in the States, the last one being at a pub with multiple awards from the Guinness Society of America for Best Pint of Guinness, and I have not been able to force myself to drink it after the first few sips. It is HORRIBLE...
I could point out the immediate problem with it, but I'll leave it.
Has to do with it being shipped. I think its pasteurizedWhy isn’t it shipped to the US; doesn’t travel well? Or some US regs on unpasteurised beer?

Dom's just killing me lol !!Not a proper glass.
Nothing to do with the glass. The head should resemble the foam on a cappuccino, a thick layer of tiny bubbles. That pour is a bunch of big bubbles like blowing air through a straw of your chocolate milk. Not a proper glass.
Not 100% sure, but do know they don’t ship the unpasteurized nectar of the Gods ANYWHERE, not to England, Europe or wherever. Rumor has it that occasionally a place in NYC or Boston will fly in a keg or 3, but I’ve never confirmed that. Why isn’t it shipped to the US; doesn’t travel well? Or some US regs on unpasteurised beer?
