Whats going on in the World

I watched Scott Adam’s video. The 2nd half is all just a bunch of bullchit, they are all racist.

As to John Stossel and the SPLC video, I’ve seen that before. He a washed up old Foxnews guy who embraces the negative. Sure, the SPLC has its faults, but I believe, as most people do, that it does more good than harm. You don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.

Anyway, the starter just said we’re up!! 🏌️⛳

So you don't see the reason Mr Adams feels the way he does. They're all just racists and are to be dismissed.

I guess if you just dismiss the problem, it isn't a problem.

SPLC is like Jesse Jackson and a number of other charities and activist groups. Started with a purpose, accomplished worthwhile things, and instead of moving on to more worthwhile things they didn't want to give up their gravy train. So they started manufacturing problems to present themselves as the solution. Eventually that turns into nothing but a grift.

I'm not going to do the thread on professionalism. I just don't have the time. But anyone who creates an organization like that should do it with the objective of disbanding it. Solve the problem and shut it down, or move on to a different but equally serious problem. Instead we get people who just can't give up their hold on power. That's unprofessional.

We were doing pretty well with race relations in this country until we elected a black president. After that, all of Dr. King's goals of not judging by the color of skin went out the window and a whole new chapter of racism was written. New terms like privilege, critical theory and micro aggression showed up.

Let's be honest. Once we elected a person of color it pretty much proved that the institutionalized racism of the past had been destroyed and all of these race-baiting and exploiting groups were out of a job.

That’s right! Never ever heard anyone apologize for being white until Hussein Obama said we should be.

Still waiting for my Obama phone too.

Scott Adam’s basically lost his livelihood as a result of the disparaging words he spoke. The overwhelming consensus was that his words were racist. The result was he dropped like a hot potato.

I believe I know what you are trying to say about professionalism, however I disagree with the labeling, title.

1. I think “professionalism” is the wrong word you are trying to convey. Professionalism has to do more with accomplishments of one’s own methods, and practices opposed to amateur. I think want you want to convey would perhaps be better titled “integrity” which might be better suited as it refers to righteousness, and rectitude. Of course it would be your thread if you decide to start it so you can name it anything you like.

2. I don’t think the SPLC ever finished the initial work they set out to do, in fact I believe the challenges they face today are immense.

3. Barack Obama. I voted for McCain & Romney, and lost both of course. I had been a registered Republican my entire life until Trump came along. I then switched to an Independent. Although my candidates lost, I was felt very proud to be an American when Barack won. I thought we had come a long way as a country to elect a black man.

I don’t see Barack as having anything to do with worsening race relations other than the fact that he was black and that brought out the many racist in this country that still exist to this day, including President Trump who claimed he wasn’t born here.

Joe got 10 million more votes than Hussein Obama, the first black president. There was no problem before the Obama and that number proves it.

My post that started this Adams "debate" was the fact that he correctly guessed that Unite the Right was a false flag operation - with funding by the SPLC. Interestingly, SPLC's whole business model is driven by the concept of racism - so they have a vested interest in perpetuating it.

But if you need to shoot the messenger to keep a truth from coming to light....

Regardless of what you “started” Adam’s is considered a racist. Plain and simple.

And racism is just some “concept” it is an unfortunate FACT of life.

And your entire thought that the SPLC has a vested interested in perpetuating their mission is unfounded.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has denied the allegations and stated that it intends to vigorously defend itself in court. In public statements, the organization has indicated that the payments referenced in the indictment were part of investigative and intelligence-gathering efforts aimed at monitoring extremist groups.

“We are outraged by the false allegations levied against SPLC — an organization that for 55 years has stood as a beacon of hope fighting white supremacy and various forms of injustice to create a multi-racial democracy where we can all live and thrive,” interim president and CEO Bryan Fair said in a statement, according to the Washington Post. The Post also quotes Fair as saying that “Taking on violent hate and extremist groups is among the most dangerous work there is, and we believe it is also among the most important work we do. To be clear, this program saved lives.”

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is an American 501(c)(3 ... SPLC's 2022 revenue totaled $140,350,982, and its expenses amounted to $111,043,025.

FIRST ON FOX: State education agencies in Vermont have paid over $566,000 in damages and legal fees to a Christian school that was banned from all sports and academic competitions for two years after its girls' basketball team refused to compete against a trans athlete in 2023.

A settlement agreement following mediation was finalized on Tuesday that awarded the plaintiffs, including the Mid Vermont Christian School and its law firm Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), the $566,000.

Last week, the Department of Justice unsealed 11 indictments against the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), charging the organization with wire fraud, conspiracy and making false statements to a federally insured bank. At the heart of the alleged scheme was a shocking operation in which the SPLC paid "informants" embedded inside the very extremist groups it claimed to oppose, including the Nazi Party of America, the KKK and Aryan Nations. The indictments reveal these characters to be more than just moles, but rather the leaders, organizers and key influencers that make these groups work.

But the SPLC still had a problem. There just weren’t enough real, outward signs of White supremacy to sustain the business model. So it decided to manufacture some. Beginning around 2014, the organization reportedly funneled millions of dollars through shell companies to pay extremist leaders, organizers and recruiters to subsidize the very stereotypes of 1960s-style White supremacy that had originally made the group famous.

The return on investment was extraordinary. In 2017, immediately after the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville — an event we now know was organized with the help of an SPLC informant paid roughly $270,000 — the organization’s revenues nearly tripled, jumping from $51 million to over $133 million in one year. Major corporations like JPMorgan and MGM, along with high-profile donors such as Tim Cook of Apple and George and Amal Clooney, poured millions into its coffers. As of 2024, the organization reportedly maintains an endowment of well over $700 million.

Real violent extremism exists in America, but the data increasingly shows it is far more common on the political left. Just days after Charlie’s assassination, a YouGov/The Economist poll found that nearly 30% of self-described progressives ages 18–39 believe violence is justified to achieve political goals, compared with only about 5% of conservatives in the same age group. The SPLC and its allies were so successful at selling the myth of pervasive right-wing "hate" that far too many on the left became convinced that conservatives deserved whatever violence came their way.

So what needs to happen now?

The entire SPLC edifice must be dismantled, all the way down to the studs. Its financial networks should be exposed and severed. Donors should consider revenues from the SPLC’s fraudulent scheme to be blood money and demand refunds. Responsible institutions must immediately disavow any association with the group. Those involved in the alleged fraud should face full prosecution.

In his final text message to White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, Charlie wrote about the urgent need to dismantle the networks and financial infrastructure that enable left-wing violence.

An illegal immigrant from India accused of causing a crash that killed a newlywed couple in Oregon has been arrested by federal immigration authorities after being released from jail, officials said.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Tuesday that Rajinder Kumar, 32, was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after being released by what the agency called "Oregon sanctuary politicians."

Kumar allegedly jackknifed his semi-truck and trailer, blocking both lanes of U.S. Highway 20 in Deschutes County on Nov. 24, according to Fox 12 Oregon.

A Subaru Outback then collided with the truck, killing driver William Micah Carter and passenger Jennifer Lynn Lower, DHS said. The couple had been married for just 16 days.

DHS said Oregon officials declined to cooperate with ICE and released Kumar on April 2. ICE agents arrested him April 22 and he is now being held at the Northwest ICE Processing Center in Tacoma pending deportation proceedings.

Kumar has been charged with criminally negligent homicide and reckless endangerment, DHS said.

According to DHS, Kumar entered the U.S. illegally near Lukeville, Arizona, in November 2022 and was later released into the country by the Biden administration. He was granted work authorization in 2023 and obtained a commercial driver’s license in California.

Another family devastated by the Biden administration.

How about we start a pool for bragging rights to see how many hours it takes for the Trump’d (yes, pun intended) up charges against James Comey to be dismissed?

I say under 54 hours no later than 4:00pm Friday.

I’ll go with 51 hours

Probably won't take that long.

Comey certainly deserves punishment, but this dog won't hunt.
