just finished my online defensive driving course...20 bucks...and you save 10% on insurance

like I said - little less than an hour each way - there's no traffic down here

nearest Lowes is in Maryland as well - 30 miles north of me - make that in like 20 minutes - less time then it took me to go the 8 miles from Kings Park down into Commack off of Commack Road to get to Home Depot

his son - Master Electrician - works for the UK Government - he's been doing the electrical in the building (which is actually approaching completion) - saving us a ton of money.............

Local Electrician wanted $4500 per Cono. Last time he was here - he did all 6 for $4500 + meals.



Brit's been here since August - heading back the end of this month for 10 days - then back here. Visa requirements.

I take it the electrician's union is pretty laid back down there...

No union that I'm aware of - it's catch as catch can down here.

We've hired a local "electrical inspector" that checks what Ellis (Brit's son's name) has done before we get the official inspection & this guy is VERY impressed with Ellis' work. Does more than is required. Haven't failed a single inspection yet.

After all he's a Member of Her Majesty's Electrical Service. I think that allows him to carry a gun. Not sure. Will have to check.
