Aaah, a different photo.I recall using an ink pen with a rubber bladder with a lever that would suck in the ink. We also had to construct covers for our books out of brown paper bags; an art lost art to the ages.
End of term we had to bring in half a lemon and a rag to clean the desk. Ya think this was a Parochial school.

whatknot i remember so well,,,,? ><))):>We built these from any scrap pieces that we could find. The front ‘axel’ would pivot and was steered with your feet. The emergency brake was your shoe soles on the wheel. There were many crashes.

my first drink/drunk may have been @ 16 years young... the old Italian man back then had a wine barrel underneath his building and he offered me some of his juice... turned out to taste more like a vinegar than grape juice, Twas ? strong... short while later playing football inda street I had the best throw., this thread is bringing back the days for me... cellfish...
