So strange but I totally agree with this. All Americans lost a lot that day, but New Yorkers still feel it. There should be a National Moment of Silence so the rest of the country is reminded.Time does not seem to be healing. It stings more and more with each passing year.

I run a foundation for NYC Firefighters, bravestfoundation.org www.bravest.com and the stats on the health of everyone from the kids in the nearby schools, to 1000's of FDNY and NYPD and all rescue workers at that time, are staggering. Each and every day there is the family of a first responder finding out that their loved one, who put it all on the line that day, will once again have to fight for their life. It's the silent epidemic. 202 FDNY members have died and 1000's of others are facing life-threatening diseases since 9/1101![]()
