Kind of a Big Deal - In My Mind Anyway

Those that are interested in what's "new" in higher-end spinning reels might already be familiar with this reel, but for those that don't, here's info on Daiwa's "next to the top of line Saltiga," their gorgeous Certate 19.

Check out the beautiful "Suzuki" (a type of sea bass sort of similar to our weakfish, or maybe a branzino) the guy gets in the opening minute. Subtitled, but interesting to any tackle ho:

"The new DAIWA spinning reel CERTATE’19 has size in between #1000 – #4000 of LT concept, which is a bit smaller than the DAIWA’s old numbers. Smaller numbers are for small light game fishing such as light salt water game, bass and egging. And larger one is for open water game fishing such as beach, or seabass, or even for shore jigging."

Here's Scoobydoo (on SOL)/Tackle Advisors on YouTube taking it apart for one of his excellent reviews:

And here is Josh from J&H Tackle giving out some good info:

I will stick with my Daiwa BG2000 and a Tsunami Slimwave 6' for the kayak and have money left for TP when its back in stock in September !

The Certate LT is bar none the smoothest, most precise feeling spinner I've ever used. I'll take it over the Stella any day! My cousin is throwing his 4k on a Dialuna AGS for surf fluke...I'm considering a 2500 for freshwater.
