The Local Hen Party paraded through the yard this AM. Wow how they've grown. In this Turkey Day Care of 18 there are 3 adult hens and the rest are this spring's hatchlings!!

Wild Turkey, keep em around. 10 bucks a pound!!

Put up my suet feeder this morning. Been super busy today. Every kind of local bird you can think of is feeding on it.

The squirrels have been extremely active as well the last few days.

I got a hunch this winter is going to be pretty brutal.

I agree and hope it's enjoying the Smorgasbord at Chez Roccus. Bobby, Woodsy Owl, my Guard Fox and the Red Tail Hawks I see this time of year should enjoy Mickey and his relatives, along with Rocky and his relatives. It's hopefully making for "eating good in the neighborhood". I like natural pest control and traps in the shed in lieu of poison which would hurt these living exterminators...

Bobcats? No, just walk around like they own the place.

Neither have the foxes, BUT once when one knew I was looking at him, he looked back at me over his shoulder to make sure he had my attention, squatted down, and took a dump. It was a definite, "You may think you own this place, but here's my opinion of that!!"

My new past time is watching my bird feeder and see who shows up. This guy is a repeat customer. Not sure what kind of bird he is.
