the "What are you doing NOW" thread (part deux)

as my grandmother use to be found of saying (at least until she died) "can't kill a bad thing............"

John thought he was calling my cell - he was calling my landline which was down - hence going straight to vmail

Got 5 of the trees out - gave away two of 'em to neighbors - local Restaurant owner wants the other 3 - do I hear free meal? Time for a brew & then shower.

just got back in from killing moles.......................

I looked out in the backyard checking on Max. I saw him at the base of this tree digging up the Irises.

When I went over to stop him I saw what he was after. There was a nest just under the Iris of moles. Got him inside & took care of the moles with a pitch fork.

Lovely way to start the day.................

:cautious:

The Iris bed?
Totaled........................

OK done for the day - havin' a beer then shower & get the chicken on the grill

Felt good to be working in the yard.

Nice day.
No mask to wear.
No hand sanitizer.
No disinfectant wipes.
No COVID-19 news.

Going to pick up take-out from our favorite local Italian restaurant. Earlier I replaced the handle on a hand sledge I broke last year and never could find a replacement handle so I filed and wore the original down, losing two or three inches. Read some of the newest Kyle Mills / Vince Flynn (RIP) novel on my wife's Kindle. Never used it before, I like actual books but the libraries are all closed. A little more weeding and gardening and then a new ship model kit arrived in just four days from Kansas City and just masked and painted the bottom hull. HMS Warspite. should keep me busy for at least a month of rainy days. Laser cut molds, tiny parts on brass sheets, nothing like models from the 1960s ! Never turned on the TV.
