I gotta give mom and dad props for having the gumption
At 80 years old
To pick up and go out for diner tonight with a couple friends
For their Anniversary

for better or worse they aren’t hiding under the bed

mom got her nails done yesterday and out on the town tonight

granted they are 80 and dinner out starts at 5pm
And they couple they are going with have been in their sequester group
But outs out

At 57 I don’t know one person in my circle that plans on retiring in ny state
Most say they simply can’t afford to and the rest simply don’t want to pay the vig to stay

with this nonsense now there’s a new dynamic
I can’t afford too

I guess put me in with the "rest".
I will most like be able to afford retirement in NY, but cannot tolerate what you have to pay for ZERO services. South I will go! Better services, at a 70% discount! I will have worked too hard to give money to a black hole!

The quality of the local food and service leaves me cold

and going into manhattan is a chore

I dine out much more when I’m in Florida

I tried to call a few places for takeout 6 weeks ago
And couldn’t get through to order

so we keep the fridge stocked and with not much else to do I cook
