the "What are you doing NOW" thread (part deux)

Does burying the tank help you with cold issues?
In the winter, unless you've topped off the tank you'll lose pressure due to the lower temperature.

Folks here are 50/50 on burying the larger tanks, mine is 1000 gallons, and I've never heard anything about trouble with the cold from anyone, buried or not, and it does get a bit chilly.

Besides the generator, my heat/hot water, cook top and assorted fireplaces/stoves run off propane so it never sits unused, especially in the winter. I burn through ~ 2600 gallons per year.

Heading to the dump, because my sanitation guys didn’t take anyone’s storm debris

I have a generac 5500 watt hooked up to my panel. Installed a disconnect safety in my breaker box. I just manage use through the breakers..... refridge, oil burner, hot water, etc as need. Want to cook? turn off the burner and hot water heater breakers. Like that. Has worked out great especially through Sandy !!
Its loud as hell but when you lose electric for maybe days, you get use to noise real quick.

Home Depot .... watch for sales. Think I paid 599 back in 2010.
