Protecting Maryland's Striped Bass: New Emergency Regulations Announced

George wrote: "a slot size was implemented specifically to target [2015] fish. ... it seems logical to assume that we are now heavily targeting the following year class, which happens to be the 2016 year class, known to be one of the weakest on record. Considering that a year has passed...

a QB needs an OL Gino was awful, but look at him now. Fitzpatrick was fun to watch, but not successful. He left and became FitzMagic. Flaco did nothing, but he's winning with the Browns. Tommy Cutlets (TM) stunk up the field at Syracuse for 2 years, but went 9-3 his Covid+ year at Illinois. Much...

Protecting Maryland's Striped Bass: New Emergency Regulations Announced

I've done it. It's lots of fun and easy as sh*t to feel like a hero. Three years ago I would have said "hands off," but now that I realize how extensive the fishing pressure is, I don't know if I'll keep targeting bass in Raritan Bay during the month of April. Maybe this fishery or the entire...

Sunday was beautiful. Sunny skies and easy winds from the west. Headed a little farther east than I have this year and it paid off with bigger fish. A slow start, but once the tide started to flood, we had nonstop action on jigs in 30'. Three anglers put at least 10-12 keepers in the boat, with...

Daniel Jones got to where he is with the Giants because under center, he looks like Eli Manning, not because of his QB skills. The Giant's front office must have thought there was something familiar and comforting about his appearance. As for skippy, I can't take credit for this line, but he...

nothing to do with sea levels. According to Wikipedia, Canal locks at each end lift ships up to Gatun Lake, an artificial freshwater lake 26 meters (85 ft) above sea level, created by damming up the Chagres River and Lake Alajuela to reduce the amount of excavation work required for the canal...

Last year I was fishing near some big rocks in my end of the Western Sound, when I was surprised to hook something big, and it cut me off on the rocks. I thought I'd give that spot another try. Action was a little slow, with mostly tiny fish - then I hook something that doesn't budge after I set...
