good stuff on netflix

really?

thought that whole film was outstanding - really mirrored the books - along with the Shining I always find myself watching when I come across them - they both also featured some fine acting from Hanks & Nicholson - actually the whole cast was great in GM

electric chair thing wasn’t good for me, everything a little slow too… im not a movie man…

Shawshank is on now… cellfish…

Better Then Us

It's Russian so there's subtitles. Not bad. Interesting concept. Held my attention for the 16 rpisodes. Not billed as a Limited Series but as it was a 2019 series with no follow ups I going to assume this it it. Give it a try.

Fauda. (chaos in Arabic I believe. ) Renewed in September for 5th season I wonder if they might somehow bring in or refer to October 7. This Israeli thriller series is one of my faves.

finished Fall of the House of Usher = good series.....................

Couple of weorthwhile ones over the last week or two:
The Next 3 Days
Great Cast - Good Story

The Outpost

Based on true events. One of the better war movies I've seen.

They did too good a job. I found this series too stressful to watch.
If you like it, you might like The Spy with Sacha Cohen

Three actors in the Outpost were there when it happened. It’s shown in BCT now to the cadets. More or less to show how fucked up the CO’s in command can be. An Outpost surrounded by switchbacks 🤪

ok - but what's that got to do with Fall of the House of Usher?

We just started an 8 episode limited series "Bodyguard." We are hooked after the second episode and will finish it out. British, terrorism, political intrigue and the star is "the King of the North" from "Game of Thrones", lol. What's not to like ?

We just binge watched two limited series, a British "Bodyguard" and a French (?) "The Forest." Both held our interest, and we found enjoyable, but we are partial to counter terrorism, espionage and murder mysteries, all of which are invariably done better by the Europeans since Americans seem to feel that over the top violence and explosions will replace the need for any intelligent plots and dialogue.

going on "the List".....................
