    Tattoos......

Tattoos are very popular today. Back in the day I got one. Probably about 55 years ago. There was a tattoo parlor on Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont across the street from the stables at Belmont Racetrack. The first time I went there with my phony draft card the guy ripped it up and told me to...

    New to Smoking

Was in the smoked fish business some years ago. We only smoked fish, no “meats.” For those of you that take this craft seriously, or want to take it up a notch the salt to use is Top Flake Extra Coarse.

    Hurricane Awareness

This time of year these storms typically roll off the coast of Africa on an almost weekly basis. They start over land as powerful thunderstorms and when they hit the Atlantic in the vicinity of Capo Verde Islands they become tropical depressions, and can intensify on their westward track.

Comment by 'MakoMatt' in article 'A Skeptic's Hard Look at Electric Outboards in Saltwater:'

Interesting read. I believe the energy density of gasoline to battery weight is something that will take years, if even possible to reach parity with each other. There is some progress being made in outboard hydrogen powered motors. Some players there are Yamaha, Regulator Marine, & Roush...

    Hurricane Awareness

The fat lady hasn’t sung yet. We haven’t even reached the peak of the season yet. That will be September 10th based on historical data for named Atlantic Storms from 1851 through 2019.

HAMPTON MAN BREAKS RECORD FOR LARGEST THRESHER SHARK CAUGHT IN CONNECTICUT

That’s already happening. Was watching a Bill Maher show a couple of weeks ago and he had some guy on, can’t remember his name, and exact expertise, but he was some kind of an AI expert. According to this guy, what you are alluding to, “AI being smart enough to push you out,” is already...

Maine's 100 buoy losses are miniscule considering the 1000s being removed along the coast!!

I miss those bouys, but I still know their old locations. 🤫. I had my first Wahoo at the HA and many Mahi, Mako, and BFT as well. Very fishy area to start a troll down into the trench.

Penn 4400 SS No non reverse

I miss Sea Isle too as they were my go to for reel repair, rod building, and many other fishing related needs. On a guess, Rob probably built over 40 rods for me over the years.

    Hurricane Awareness

Yes, hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes, supernovas, etc. all happen naturally so we shouldn’t remediate the damage that The vessel may be able to self right itself but that’s not going to do any good for all those people up on the fly bridge.

    Hurricane Awareness

There shouldn’t be any reason you can’t enjoy it? That aside, if we lose the barrier islands, so may go the large parts of the mainland, and huge effects to marine estuaries.

    Grillin & Chillin

Here a photo from another BBQ I had to give some sense of what you can cook on these grills. Here are 4 sausage rings, 2 large whole filet mignon’s and several cut up chickens.
