It's just what the next Governor will do to fishing and hunting. The Radicals wanna take away everything we enjoy. I pray for Divided Gov't in NY so we can work together and not fight each other. Business loves Divided Gov't because nothing radical happens and Sportsmen should want the same.
The radicals wanna ban lead ammo, pass a gun storage law that makes it against the law to leave guns in cars unattended ( no stops at restaurants, shopping ) , ban the internal combustion engine, diesel engines. They'd make every hunter have liability insurance, they'd sue gun stores, gun manufacturers in NY , force them to close. They have a Super Majority in the State Senate and only Cuomo is blocking their far left radical agenda from being fully implemented. It's just about the future of hunting and fishing, nothing else.

If you really want to stop Illegal Immigration first stop people from over staying their Visa's & second stop company's and people from employing them..Third and it will never happen,,stop the hunger of illegal drug use by Americans & their thirst for prostitution..

I have found that both parties are favorable to anglers and hunters. It's a matter of letting them know what you support. I do think that this will put us on the back burner for a bit.

The best possible outcome for anglers would be Lee Zeldin. He has always supported recreational anglers and we have always supported him. Our Governor has also showed us support. I just can't see him surviving this.

I'm hoping this thread doesn't blow up and much more importantly I catch some big fluke this weekend.

He has helped us many times over. He's been a huge supporter of both the angler and the industry. I've seen him at many angler functions and he has helped us with many of our ongoing regulation changes. He truly cares about our issues. He's a Long Islander.

When trying to lobby people in Albany, most of which could care less about us, you're lucky to get a meeting. He has NEVER turned us away. To have that relationship with our Governor would be a great thing!

Please stop making this a left right thing. IT'S NOT! That's not how I think and it sure isn't how it works. In fact, one time I had a fundraiser at my home for the CCA years back. I had a leader of the Senate, controlled by Republicans, and a leader of the Assembly, controlled by Democrats there at the same time.

Coincidently we passed the bunker boat deal, that so many states are trying to do now and is accounting for the tons and tons of all year classes of menhaden we have in NY we did the bass bill, which worked out great for recs, and we also put the 25 fish limit on tog. It took both parties to get it done.
