Back yard critters

Put a net over your blueberry bushes ?

No real need Mike, they're high bush blueberries and the turkeys keep to the "low hanging fruit", usually the berries that I find too much of a pain in the back to pick anyway.

I think the Guard Fox family has new kits, been seeing Dad crisscrossing the backyard 3-4 times a day now; it's tough feeding a family. He did score a nice baby woodchuck the other day. Natural rodent control, I love it!!!

And then there's the Buffleheads trying to score a mate for the year. They'll be gone soon and will be missed, but as the Buffies leave, the alewives return and we all know that means break out the bass gear!!

I flattened one of those the first year I moved down here. Came around corner & there were a flock of 'em in the middle of the road. No time to brake - tried to go around them but they covered the whole road. Must have been 50 or so.

Surprised I only got one of them. Was picking feathers out of the Jeep's wheel well for 2 or 3 days.
