A couple of weeks ago we had this gorgeous iridescent blue damselfly on the Rhodadead,... Rhodyde,.. Roddodod,.... bush in our back yard.

Almost had snake pate for lunch. Was doing the walk behind mower clean up around trees today and saw a snake dart out. I shut off the mower and went to shepherd the snake away from the mowing area which he did. Walked back to the mower and was going to restart it, but just before I went to pull the cord, a little voice said, "Hey, can't see the snake anymore. Bet he's under the mower!!"

Pulled the mower away and there he was, a good-sized garter snake with a death wish. Well I didn't fulfill that desire...

Always liked chip munks you can get them real tame they will eat out of your hand

As I was getting out of my truck this morning I heard a lot of screeching from a bird. I went to the side of my house and saw 3 woodpeckers then another group of 4 and then a couple more. They were all watching another (im guessing male bird) doing all the screeching and doing kinda a dance flapping wings bouncing around on the branch. I'm also guessing that it might have been a mating ritual. It was kind of cool there were about 9 woodpeckers all in one tree.
