Larry - You do realize that the proper spelling for the "real" stuff is "WHISKY", just like that Glenfiddich bottle. I usually don't drink the stuff that has the "E".

I have a magnum and a half of Makers, two bottles of Woodford Reserve, one bottle of Charles Goodnight and a bottle of Bulleit.

Not at all where they were distilled, but the ingredients and how they are fermented, along with aging!!!

I know in Onacock, all the Granddads make their moonshine the same way. I prefer my wee dram from the salty marshes of Islay.

Noun. wee dram. (euphemistic) A shot of Scotch Whisky; a single malt Scotch, for example from Glenmorangie or Laphroaig or a blended whisky like The Famous Grouse or The Black Douglas.

Is that like lagavulin? I bought a bottle of that for my nephew and I couldn't drink it. It had a smoky peat taste.

Joe: It's called "The Peat Project" so yes, VERY peaty, more so than Lagavulin. I love "Chewing Whiskies", a term that Scots use for very peaty whisky. Another of my favorite "Chews" is Talisker Storm, also a fine product from the isle of Islay. The Minister likes a very unpeated Bruichladdich which is good, no one is fighting over the other's bottle.
