Canibis and boating

Reminds me of a night in my misspent youth a long, long, long time ago in a galaxy with very few striped bass, when I succumbed to peer pressure, "C'mon Dom you got to try fishing with a buzz on!!"

We lit up and hit the beach in search of stripers. After a while I got hit with a fish hell bent on suicide as it smashed the plug and and started tail walking across the surface. About a second later I commented, "Hey I think I got one" and then set the hook, which was pretty damn late; had the fish not hooked itself, it would have been long gone by then, LOL. After landing the fish, which turned out to be the only hit any of us had, I reviewed the situation and said, "NFW I'll go fishing again stoned!!! I could have lost that fish!!!"

I won my first Rodwinder rod stoned, and probably the other two as well.

When NY legalizes canibis, I just want to remind all of us that it will still be illegal on the water. Their was an article published in the paper today that had wrong information on boating.

Here is a good article the pretty much sums it up Cannabis And Boating - BoatUS Magazine

That article is wrong on so many levels, particularly for those of us here, that its basically useless, maybe worse. Just one example THC in the blood is NOT indicative of impairment. THC in the blood can last for as long as a month after someone has imbibed.
