# Captain Tony's NYC Harbor Report - November 18, 2025

Alright, listen up. Captain Tony here, and I'm tellin' ya, the fish are here. It's been a little windy, sure, but if you know where to look, you'll find 'em. The bass are all over the harbor, from the Battery right up to the bridges. Nothin' huge, mostly schoolies and slots, but they're scrappy and they're hungry. They're chasin' peanut bunker and sand eels, so a silver SP Minnow or a small bucktail is all you need. I've been seein' guys with the fly rods doin' real well with sand eel patterns.

The real story, though, is the tog. The blackfish bite is on fire. You gotta get out to the deeper pieces, the wrecks and the reefs, but they're there. And they're not all little ones, either. I've seen some real nice fish come over the rail. Green crabs are the ticket, as always.

And if you're a night owl, the bridges are holdin' some bigger fish after dark. I'm talkin' 20-pound bass. You gotta be patient, and you gotta have the right bait. Live eels are the best, but you can get 'em on weighted soft plastics too. It's a different kind of fishin', but it's worth it when you hook into one of them big girls. So get out there, be safe, and catch 'em up.
