Careful What you wish for.

My son Charles and I hit can 7 again this Saturday, beautiful weather, ride over was uneventful.
Arrived at can 7 L.I. about 8:30am after leaving MIlford ct.
One boat was already there, we setup to start our drift, but unfortunately there was none, tide was coming in and there was just enough wind to stop the drift.
So I moved around a lot, we picked away at the fluke, last weekend you couldn't stand up.
We waited it out till the tide changed and when that happened the wind picked up and we had too much drift, we started catching fluke at a steady pace.
Right by the can I hooked up with a brute of a fluke, only to lose it 5 feet from the boat, my son looked at me with the most serious face, that's to bad pop that fish had to be 40 inches.
I tell ya, if he wasn't bigger than me I would have smacked him a good one. lol
We drifted till 5:30 pm and called it quits, long day.
Total was 12 fluke to 18.75 one lost keeper, tons of robins, one cbass a huge porgy.
Was a nice day, got a little to much sun so i'm paying for it today. lol
The fish are there, just need the right conditions.
