Classic Cars

Between the Nova and chevelle only see the windshield and roofline
that was my 1st car - 1964 Chevy Nova - 3 speed on the column - shift eventually broke off & I attached a pair of vise grips to what was left & used that for shifting gears............

Front bumper was tied on with rope & the windshield wipers stopped working so I ran a rope out the wing window to the driver's side wiper & I had to pull it to clear the window - the floor rotted out on the passenger side so I put a piece of plywood over it to keep the water out & everytime I went through a puddle the water would hit the muffler & fill the car with steam.

Of course this was well in advance of car inspections.
Actually - because of people like me - it very well may be that that was why they began requiring annual car inspections.

Good Times......................

Beware - could it have the V8-6-4 engine?
Yeah, they were a disaster
There had been a wide spread rumor of these engines being a problem for the 81-83 Cadillacs having the 8 6 4 engine.
I owned a 1981 sedan deville that had a computing in it that never failed amd worked perfecttly, if it did not work for others the computer replacements had a cost of $500

it was a time when computers were beginning to take over everything and car guys were not ready for this.
the computer would control how many cylinders would run the system as it ran automatically, I ran long rides back then and it would show 0n dash what was needed when while highway driving and street local driving, never had a prob.
